Michel Cluizel Plantation Riachuelo 70% 70g

70% plantation chocolate from the Brazilian plantation "Riachuelo" in the heart of the rainforest. In the chocolate, the taste notes of roasted cocoa, dried fruit and red fruit are harmoniously combined, through which the sour notes flash. In the end, everything gradually subsides into a spiced and chocolate-caramel aftertaste. The plantation is located in the Bahia region, in the Ilhéus region, close to the Atlantic coast. Cocoa trees grow here together with many local exotic trees such as Massaranduba or Pau d'Arco trees. Such Brazilian permaculture in practice.

Michel Cluizel comes with a new edition in 2021, in which he enhances the taste of his plantation chocolates by increasing the content of cocoa beans to at least 70% for dark chocolates and 47% for milk chocolates. When making chocolates, he cares about every step of chocolate making. On the packaging you will now find signs typical of the country of origin of the cocoa beans. In addition to the name of the plantation, you will also learn the name of the area and basic tasting notes.

Ingredients: cocoa beans, sugar, cocoa butter. May contain traces of nuts, milk and gluten.

Exceptional quality: Michel Cluizel works closely with farmers and supports them to preserve the traditional methods of growing and fermenting cocoa beans. It ensures fair conditions for agriculture and life. To preserve specific flavors, Michel Cluizel uses long roasting at low temperatures. To achieve the unrivaled flavors of his chocolates, Cluizel often tested more than 20 combinations of fermentation and roasting methods. The actual roasting, grinding and mixing of the cocoa beans already takes place in France in Voiron.

When it comes to ingredients, Michel Cluizel really cares. He even patented the "Nobles Ingredients" trademark, which in practice means that he uses in his products:

only pure cocoa butter, without any admixtures of vegetable fats,
natural Bourbon vanilla instead of vanillin,
does not use soy lecithin or artificial flavors.
The company also guarantees that no raw materials have gone through the process of irradiation or ionization.
Weight and size: 70g, 161×79×7 mm
